Announcing the sale of the super script, well not really super but awesome, JCustom Mod System as named! It’s actually been out with some peeps that are already experiencing it’s greatness also together helping with the tests and possible glitches. The latest build is 0.3.10200 which features most, if not all, of arcadem’s default features and some great additionals.

Also putting out for public is the proper but incomplete developer’s documentation. It’s basically just a syntax docs explaining which methods are available and how to use them. So basically if your looking for usage manual for the mod, in time maybe, these are only for php developers interested in making something out for an arcade site. Trigger on Events

Basically, developing for the mod system shall use new functions, methods and better data flow. The system’s main data flow is backed by using action hooks, and all used data are managed well through filters. The system’s flow can even be altered greatly if desired just be modifying how and when the hooks are triggered. Samely as far as data can be screened, modified or removed by filtering through them.

The most important and significant events have their own hooks to be triggered respectively, so each event can have a corresponding customization behind or after it.

How I wish that all other arcade scripts already have these in them.

Theme Templates Whatever

The main problem with other arcade scripts is the limit for customization. Most have pre-defined sub templates for certain sections that a develop would certainly have to have customized for, like comments, ratings, etc. Some don’t even allow script level of changing template layout, most common is number of columns and it’s layout.

The good news is that with this mod, all is custom! There are no defined templates that can’t be molded to your liking. From specifying html dimensions, practical contents to even ajax requests.

Certainly, would you not prefer that?
